I’ve Got A Thing About You Baby

I’ve Got A Thing About You Baby

Released: Jan. 11, 1974

The last two sides from the July Stax sessions, in fact probably the best two sides. The A-side, written by brilliant swamp-rocker Tony Joe White (who had also contributed “For Ol’ Times Sake” to the sessions) had a soulful edge, and “Take Good Care Of Her” clearly appealed to Elvis’ sentimental side.
