Your Time Hasn’t Come Yet, Baby
Released:May. 21, 1968If the gospel single represented pure feeling, this single from the upcoming new picture, Speedway, Elvis’ fourth 45 release in five months, represented just the opposite, and chart performance and sales figures hammered the message home. If the public was picking up on the idea of a new – or renewed – Elvis, his record company and management had yet to catch on. Once again image, momentum, and music were heedlessly sacrificed in the vain hope of resuscitating a flagging movie career.
