Remembering Elvis On His Birthday

Today marks the 78th anniversary of the birth of Elvis Presley. This beautifully moody shot of the King of Rock & Roll was taken in Memphis, Tennessee, on March 15, 1960: Elvis had just returned to the U.S. from his stint in Germany with the army, which clearly had not done permanent damage to his amazing hair. A few days later, Elvis would go into a Memphis studio and cut his first post-army single, the number one hit "Stuck On You."
