Do The Clam

Do The Clam

Released: Feb. 9, 1965

“Do The Clam,” from the new movie, Girl Happy, represented one of the low points of Elvis’ film-related singles releases, a half-hearted attempt at creating a new dance craze, which, whether by intention or not, was more silly than satirical. Mediocre sales of 350,000 reflected its place in the Elvis pantheon.
