I'm a fan (and you should be too) because...I have always enjoyed his music and his movies. One of his song" in the ghetto ' I swear I wore out the 45 I played it so often. My whole family would sit and watch his movies on saturdays. When his shows were televised in Canada it was the one night we could stay up late and watch HIs shows. He truly was a gifted singer, preformer and actor. I still play his records and cd's and watch his movies when ever I get the chance. God took him young but when he did, he made sure that the Elvis we knew would never grow old, and would forever remain Elvis KIng of Rock

I remember what I was doing the day I heard Elvis had passed away. I was 16 and had just returned home from the job I had for that summer. I was sitting down to eat by myself because the rest of my family had already eaten.
